Amaryllis is a beautiful, majestic flower. There are myths and legends about him. For example, the ancient Roman poet Virgil Maron sang in his poems the beautiful shepherdess Amaryllis, after whom this flower was named. And the myths of ancient Greece say that once upon a time there lived a beautiful nymph named Amaryllis, possessing such beauty and charm that all earthly men fell in love with her. And just looking at her, they immediately forgot other women. The gods of Olympus, seeing such a situation, sent the god of Autumn and withering to the earth to punish the coquette and the cruel beauty. But the God of Autumn suffered the same fate as earthly men - he fell in love with beauty without memory. And in order not to destroy the nymph and her beauty, he turned her into a beautiful flower.
